AUSWIDE PLUMBING COMPLETE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT AT CRIB POINT, MELBOURNE
March 22, 2019Kennedys Australia contracted Auswide Plumbing & Civil to complete the renewal of water mains around the Married Quarters of HMAS Cerberus situated at Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula.
The project scope was the renewal of 1500m of 180mm and 125mm HDPE water main. Auswide contracted Network Drilling to complete the drilling for the project and there were also open cut methods used for the installation.
Auswide completed all the service locating and hydro excavations to prove the location and heights of existing services. Auswide then completed the installation by butt welding the new pipeline with new valves, hydrants and the tie-ins to the existing mains. Hydro testing and water quality the new installation was done, and the house connections were reconnected.
Once installation was completed Auswide laid asphalt and concrete to reinstate where road and paths had been disturbed. Remediation of all nature strips and park land was the finial step in a successful project for Auswide and Kennedy Australia.
